Portable build

Unpack and run. Nothing is written into the system, which suits a locked-down work machine.

Windows will warn you on first run. The builds are not yet signed with a developer certificate, so SmartScreen asks for confirmation: “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The SHA-256 checksum is printed right under each button, so you can confirm the file arrived intact and is the one we published.

Updates come from the application itself: it compares its version against the current release and gives you the link. The installer runs over the previous version; the portable build is simply unpacked again.
